About - Gans Plumbing

The company was founded by Charles Gans, Sr. in 1926 operating out of his garage. His sons Charles Gans, Jr. and Donald Gans moved the company a mile up the road where the business still operates today under third generation members Dara, Tami, and Brian.

Meet the Executive Team

Dara

Dara has been with Charles B Gans Plumbing Heating and Air-Conditioning for a long as she can remember. As the youngest of four girls, she often found herself going to work with her Mom at her Grandparents house on Eagle Road in Havertown. Growing up Dara worked in the office several Summers and dispatched one Summer while going to college in Vermont. Dara graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in economics and a minor in finance. Dara was in pharmaceutical sales and reimbursement for Johnson and Johnson and served as senior professional hospital representative for all of the teaching hospitals in CT and the Department of Corrections for the state of Connecticut.

Upon moving back to the area in 2009 Dara rejoined the family business to help run the day to day operations. Dara lives on a farm in West Chester, PA with her husband John and has three grown children Jason, Alyson, and Ryan and dog Nilah. Dara enjoys live music, gardening, good food &; wine and spending time & making memories with friends & family.

Tami

Tami is one of Charles Jr, and Maryann’s daughters. She began helping in the company by typing bills while in high school, back when the company was still operating from the original location at her grandparent’s home. Tami became an employee in 1996 and currently works in accounts payable & receivable and assists with HR and customer service. Tami has 2 grown daughters, Madison & Taylor, and lives in West Chester with her husband Dan. She enjoys gardening as a hobby.

Brian

Brian has been with Charles B Gans Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning since he was a kid, tagging along with his dad in the 1990’s. Throughout high school and college, Brian would work summers with the company as an apprentice. Upon graduating from Penn State, Brian took on a full-time role with the company starting in the field and transitioning into his current office position. Brian lives in Media, PA with his wife and son. Brian is an avid Penn State football and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoys vacationing in Lewes, DE.
